摘要：An adhesive dressing for a difficult to treat region of the body comprising: asubstantially liquid-impermeable backing sheet; a layer of pressure-sensitive adhesivecoated on the backing sheet; and an absorbent island adhered to the backing sheet onthe same side as the adhesive layer, wherein the island has a smaller area than thebacking sheet such that an adhesive-coated margin of the backing sheet extends aroundthe island, and wherein the island is offset from the center of the backing sheet toprovide a wide margin region that can be partially removed to alter the shape of thedressing and thereby improve the conformity of the dressing to a region of the body.The invention is especially applicable to sacral dressings.
