摘要：A shock absorbing wheel suspension for vehicles in which the ground engagingwheel is mounted for limited vertical and horizontal movement relative to a base byforward and rear wheel support brackets that are pivotally interconnected at theiradjacent ends on the wheel axle and which are pivotally supported at their outer ends forvertical swinging and horizontal shifting movement on forward and rear suspensionbrackets pivotally connected to the base. Forward and rear spring assemblies arearranged to engage the forward and rear wheel support brackets to yieldably bias thewheel support brackets angularly in a direction to oppose upward movement of thewheel assembly and to also yieldably bias the forward and rear wheel support bracketshorizontally in relatively opposite directions to a centered position. The mounting base isadapted to be supported for turning movement about an upright axis vertically alignedwith the wheel axis when the latter is in its centered position to provide a steerable wheelassembly.
