摘要：PURPOSE:To obtain the optical fiber cable which obviates an increase intransmission loss and has high long-term reliability by specifying the adhesive strengthbetween a UV curing resin right above a bare glass fiber and the bare glass fiber.CONSTITUTION:A coated optical fiber 1 is formed by coating a piece of glass fiber or anassembly of plural pieces of the glass fibers with >=1 layers of the UV curing resins. Thisoptical fiber cable 4 is housed therein with the coated optical fibers 1 formed by coatingthe outer periphery of the glass fibers having a refractive index distribution of a gradedindex (GI) type or the glass fibers having a refractive index of a single mode (SM) typewith >=1 layers of the UV curing resins and is packed with a jelly compd. 3 in the spacearound the coated optical fibers 1. The adhesive strength between the UV curing resinsright above the glass fibers and the glass fibers is specified to 30 to 50g/cm in case of theGI type coated optical fibers and 30 to 200g/cm in case of the SM type coated opticalfibers.
