摘要：1. A process for the manufacture of acicular ferromagnetic iron particles ofacicular iron(III) oxide hydroxyde which consists of lepidocrodite and, optionally, goethiteand is provided with a shape-stabilizing surface coating by reduction with hydrogen at275 degrees to 420 degrees C, wherein the acicular iron(III) oxide hydroxide contains 15to 100 percent by weight of lepidocrocite and 0 to 85 percent by weight of goethite and,after the application of the shape-stabilizing surface coating known per se and beforereduction, is dehydrated and heat-treated for 0.5 to 8 hours at temperatures between400 degrees and 750 degrees C.
