Why is it difficult for college students to find jobs?
Nowdays, it is getting harder and harder for a normal college student to find a job, even a low paid one. We can find out that the employment rate of college students is more and more low year by year. In 1993, the rate is 93percent, 1995 is 91 percent and in 1997, it hae down to 90percent.
After search the internet, I conclude this phenomenon to three reasons.
First, as the job market gets shrinking, jobs which society provided is limited. It is common that tens of undergraduates compete for one job. This is a strict social problem.
Second, some times it is easy for some students to find job. But the fact is that some students think the salary is so low that they don't want to do the job, they except to find a easy work with a higher salary.
Thired, there are some kinds of jobs that lots of college students don't want to do. Thet is a waste of job position. For examplem join the army.
Obviously, this is great pressure for college students to find a job.
As far as I'm concerned, pressure is not only an obstacle but also a motivity. Students who are in colleges must work harder than before to keep their competitiveness. Only in this way shoud we adapt the competitive society. I believe
through their hardwork they'll get a satisfied job
Solution to the problem requires efforts on both the society and the students. The companies should value the students talent and knowledge while the latter should not merely aim at material gains. They should be down-to–earth in building up their career. Furthermore, they should face their weak points so as to improve themselves and be more competent. In my opinion, college students should be cautious when deciding whether to apply for the positions. On the one hand, they should not follow others blindly. On the other hand, there are plenty of ways of employment and self-employment, so why crowd on one bus? In a word, the fever should be cooled down.
