摘要：A tool holder has an insert receiving pocket and uses a tiltable pin (26) to clampan insert (18) in the pocket. The pin is located in a bore through the bottom of thepocket of the tool holder and is tiltable therein so that one end of the pin engages acenter hole (34) of an insert and clamps it in the pocket. A recess (36) communicates withthe bore near the lower end of the pin when the pin is in the bore and spherical elementssuch as balls (40) are disposed in said recess. Means for moving said spherical elementsare provided so that the pin is tilted into clamping position on the insert. A top clamp (24)is provided that cooperates with the pin element in clamping said insert.
