Nowadays, it is an increasing tendency that college students prefer group-by deals on the Internet and choose clothes on sale to save money. Some people maintain that being too careful with money can’t make us wise consumers while others hold different opinions. From personal perspective,I argue that being careful with money makes smart consumers. There are several points that can support my point of view.
First fo all, smart consumers are those who know how to organize and spend their money when in real need. It’s not an uncommon phenomenon that rich people are willing to buy whatever they want without considering price to catch up with fashion. But as students, I don’t think it’s wise to squander a large amount fo money on an expensive T-shirt or a pair of shoes. When suffering the Internet, it’s not difficult to find many group-by restaurants that offer delicious food with lower price,or some tourist places giving a discount.; the clothes on sale always cost you half the price. If we choose such deals, we can enjoy the same service with less money. Furthermore, in the process of comparing prices and qualities of two similar goods, we do what smart consumers usually do: to organize money in a sane way. Secondly, as students, we are occupied with studying and don’t earn our own lives. We only get finical supports from our parents. So there is no fault for us to save our parents’ hard-earned money. Thirdly, in such modern world, we are closely attached to TV ads. Sometimes we may be irrational and buy something we don’t need. Under this circumstance, being careful with money seems of vital significance, it will help us develop wise consuming mode, which may benefit us a lot in the future,especially when we are burdened with buying a house or a car. Last but not least, thrifty is a traditional Chinese virtue. we should make every efforts to carry forward it.
To sum up, I firmly believe that we should save our pocket money. Being careful with money makes wise consumers.
