一、教学目标

1.学生能听、说、读写下列职业类名词:factory worker, businessman, postman, police officer.

2.学生学会询问并表达某人是干什么的句子:What does he do? He is a businessman.

3.启发学生表达自己理想的职业。

二、教学重难点

重点:1.学生能听、说、读写下列职业类名词:factory worker, businessman, postman, police officer. 2.学生学会询问并表达某人是干什么的句子:What does he do? He is a businessman.

难点:单词businessman和postman的发音。

三、教学准备

电子白板、课件、单词卡片。

四、教学过程

(一)Warming up and Revision(热身、复习)

1.Free talk: T:What does he/she do?

S: He /She is a…( 学生根据图片回答)

【设计意图:以旧知作为支架,以师生问答的形式交流,不仅拉近了师生之间的距离,活跃了课堂氛围,而且为新知学习做了良好的铺垫。】

2. Lead-in and show the learning aims.

(二)Presentation(新知呈现)

Step1: 教师引导学生学习四个职业名词:factory worker, businessman, postman, police officer。

Eg: T:She works in a factory(工厂).She makes shoes. Guess: What does she do?

S: She is a …(根据老师的描述猜测)

T: She is a factory worker.( 点拨发音)

【设计意图:六年级的学生已储备了一定的词汇量,让学生通过语句的描述来猜测单词,对他们来说有一定的挑战性和趣味性,学生通过思考对新词的意思会加深记忆。】

Step2: let’s chant。

Factory worker, factory worker, she is a factory worker.

Postman, postman, he is a postman.

Miss Yang, Miss Yang, What does she do?

Police officer, police officer, she is a police officer.

Businessman, businessman, he is a businessman.

【设计意图:以朗朗上口的chant形式来操练巩固单词和句型,学生易于接受。】

(三)Practice(情趣操练)

Groupwork--play a game:前后呼应

A:factory worker,(组长呼叫)

factory worker,(组员呼叫)

Who wants to be a factory worker?(全员问)

B:factory worker,(组长回应)

factory worker,(组长回应)

Chen Jie wants to be a factory worker.(全员答)

【设计意图:此活动能面向全体学生,让学生在玩中学,学中玩,从而激发和调动学生学习英语的积极性。】

Pair-work--Free talk: What do you want to do?

A: Hi, Sarah.

B: Hello, Mike. What do you want to do?

A: I want to be a businessman. What about you?

B: I want to be a police officer.

A: That’s good. We should study hard.(我们应该努力学习)

【设计意图:学习语言的最终目的是运用。教师设计了简短的同桌对话,为学生提供了体验交流、展示风采的舞台。在体验交流中复习巩固了本课的语言重难点,在风采展示中进一步激发了学生学习兴趣,也使整个教学活动有声有色。】
