摘要：A color processing apparatus includes a first calculation unit, a determinationunit, and a second calculation unit. The first calculation unit calculates a second color
signal from a first color signal by using successive approximation. The first color signal isgiven by repeatedly calculating a first successive solution using an inverse matrix of asensitivity matrix of an input/output characteristic function of an output device. Thedetermination unit determines whether or not the first successive solution calculated bythe first calculation unit is divergent. The second calculation unit calculates a secondsuccessive solution using a method different from a method used by the first calculationunit when the determination unit determines that the first successive solution isdivergent.
