Under the background of the new curriculum reform, we have got remarkable achievements in link-up teaching between junior high school and senior high school in English, which plays very significant roles to improve the English teaching level in China. However, there still exist many inherent defects and problems in English teaching, especially lacking useful theoretical support. There is not enough research on the junior high school in English teaching strategies, leading to the unscientific and non-standard language teaching practice in senior high school. Nowadays few well-known experts and scholars make systematic research on the subject. We have only very limited famous works for reference. Some of the essays are not sufficiently convincing. If the students have not equipped them with any of the knowledge and skill in cohesive English learning before entering into the senior high school, is just as foolish as trying to dive without knowing how to swim. On the whole, the research is beneficial to improve the present situation of English education and make great contributions to optimizing English educational system. The research lays a good systematic theoretical foundation for teachers to organize all kinds of methods in link-up teaching. What’s more, it makes for renovating the content and structure of English teaching materials. The efficient instruction of teachers helps provide students aeolotropic guidance in junior high school-senior high school transition learning, adjusting themselves to Senior High School Studying in English. It is favor of developing students’ interests and cultivating autonomous learning habits in further study, moderately creating a relaxed and harmonious atmosphere. In the process of the new curriculum reform, it helps students pass their exam. In addition, cultivating integrated skills and ability in listening, speaking, reading and writing is based on the dedicate link-up learning to a great extent.
