The books are ladders for human's to make progress. There is no doubt that we should read. But among so many publications, what kinds of books should we choose to read?
Generally speaking, we should read different books in different stages of life to promote our growth. The sages in ancient times of China once pointed out that we should grow up as the following guide, says “Molds a good moral character, manages the family well, manages the nation in order and governs the society well.” In fact, we can also follow the very guide to choose books we should read in different stages of our life.
In my opinion, we should read some positive books to know what the world we are living in is, to form a good personality before we are 20 years old. After that, we could read some books concerning with love, marriage and family, to prepare for a happy life. After 30, we are old enough, we should transfer to some books about how to reform the world, to keep the society running healthily.
In a word, we should read and read different books at different stages to improve, enlarge and enlighten us.

Seemingly, there are times when protective lies must nonetheless be told, and most of people think social lying acceptable and necessary, they think it’s civilized way for folks to behave. Without these little white lies, they say, our relationship would be
short and merciless and nasty. Aside from those people, Some say that truth will be out and thus you might as well tell the truth. In many cases, to cover up a lie, you’ve got to continue to lie, that will make you feel very painful and annoying. And you can’t regain the trust that lies lose.
The question of whether or not to tell the truth can be a hard and serious problem. As for me, I like the remark of a friend of mine who said, “I’m willing to lie. But just as a last reason—the truth is always better.”
Should we solve environmental problems by reducing civilization?
As we all know, we live on the earth and the earth is the only home of us human being so far. We make use of all kinds of resources from the earth. That is, we rely on the resources available and thrive on our environment..
Meanwhile, mankind has to develop and civilized. Without development and civilization, there will be no future. Hence there seems to b a contradiction between the environment and civilization. However, they are not absolutely irreconcilable. They are tightly connected, actually.
The environment is the essence of civilization. All the resources and materials we need for development come from the environment. At the same time, civilization has a great impact on the environment. Civilization can improve the environment, but it can also destroy it. This is all up to human beings. Now there are many environmental problems caused by development. But if we focus on these problems and try to solve them, we can certainly find a way to ensure rapid civilization without doing damage to the environment.
