摘要:A system for providing a laser beam shot pattern to a living eye comprises atherapeutic laser for providing a laser beam and a controller in communication with the
laser and controlling the laser beam so that a shot pattern (4) is generated on a livingeye. The shot pattern comprises a pattern for providing an incision in a cornea (1) of theeye, for insertion of an instrument into the living eye, removal of lens material from theliving eye and insertion of replacement lens material into the living eye. The incision has across sectional length and facing surfaces (5,6), whereby upon completion of an insertionand removal of the instrument or lens material at least a portion of the facing surfacessubstantially contact each-other. The incision has an anterior start point and a posteriorend point, the posterior end point positioned in Descemet's membrane of the living eyeand the cross sectional length of the incision being greater than a distance between theanterior start point and the posterior end point. The anterior start point is positioned agreater distance from an anterior posterior axis of the incision than the posterior endpoint.
