摘要：Embodiments of a method and apparatus of determining writing power for anoptical disk are disclosed where a relationship (e.g., linear coefficient) for finding optimalwriting power according to recording position can be detected at a recording speed and

an optimal power calibration operation can be performed at each of other recordingspeeds. When data is recorded at an area with a certain recording speed, the optimalwriting power at the area for the recording speed can be calculated using the linearcoefficient and the calculated optimal writing power is used.
