摘要：The invention relates to a method for heating a catalyst used in internalcombustion engines. The inventive method comprises the following steps: producing ameasure for the temperature of the catalyst; carrying out, below a predeterminedtemperature, a first heating step in which the temperature of the exhaust gas isincreased; carrying out, above said predetermined temperature, alternatively oradditionally to the first heating step a second heating step, in which the catalyst isprovided, in addition to the exhaust gas, with a reactive mixture whose reaction in thecatalyst releases heat in the catalyst.
