摘要：The present invention is generally related to the use of a novel compositioncontaining a concentrate of the bioactives, micronutrients and antioxidants present in theunsaponifiable fraction of rice bran oil or rice germ oil, in the prevention and treatment ofhealth disorders. This invention extends to the therapeutic usefulness and cost effectivityof similar whole extract concentrates of unsaponifiable micronutrients prepared fromother vegetable oils rich in unsaponifiable fractions. The current discovery specificallycovers uses of unsaponifiable fraction of rice bran oil or rice germ oil in preventing ortreating cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypercholesterolemia andarteriosclerosis.
