摘要：The invention broadly provides a method and apparatus for measuring thepower output of one powering a vehicle or other system driven by the elongate flexiblemember such as chain. In a preferred embodiment described, the vehicle is a bicycle. Themethod of the invention comprises measuring the speed and tension of the drive chainand calculating the power output therefrom. The apparatus of the invention includes achain speed sensor, a chain tension sensor, and electronic processing apparatus tocalculate and display the power output based upon the chain measurements.
