读后续写练习写作指导讲义

试题原题阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。

Mr. Beal's Egg Drop Challenge was an institution (习俗)at my school. The goal of the Challenge was simple---you had to build a protective container to keep an egg from breaking when dropped over the stadium wall. “Bring your container to class on Friday/' Mr. Beal said. \"This year we're going to try something different. You can work alone or with a partner.”

My best friend, Cassie, and I grinned at each other. We always worked on projects together. We're the perfect combination. I made my favorite sandwich that afternoon while waiting for Cassie to come over and work on the container. Spreading the fluffy marshmallow cream (蓬松 棉花糖 奶油) gave me an idea. When Cassie arrived, I told her my brilliant idea --- use marshmallow cream to absorb the shock of the impact.

“You must be kidding,\" Cassie responded. \"Why not put the egg in a basket with a parachute (降

落伞)attached? It will simply float to safety/7 \"It's too easy for something to go wrong. It will never work!” I argued. \"And marshmallow cream will?” Cassie rolled her eyes. \"The parachute is better than that stupid idea.”

I couldn't believe it. Of course we'd had our little fights in the past, but this was different. She'd never called any of my ideas \"stupid\" before.

“Then I'll build mine and you build yours, and we'll just see whose is better/' \"Fine!\" Cassie grabbed her backpack and stormed out. And just like that, our friendship was smashed (粉石卒).Like an egg dropped from the top of a stadium without marshmallow cream to protect it.

Friday finally rolled around. All the kids carried their egg containers upthree stadium steps and dropped them over the side wall. If the egg broke, you were out. If the egg survived, you had to walk up three more steps and drop it again. This went on until the last egg broke. By the fourth launch, only Cassie and I were left.

“OK,〃 Mr. Beal yelled. zzLet them go on the count of three/7

The class called, “One, two, three !,z I let go of my container first and then Cassie.

下水作文“Oh, no!〃 I heard someone say and raced down. The word “BROKEN

Just as I was lost in my failure, there came Cassie/s disappointment ! (85 words)

〃My egg bounced out// Cassie sighed, frowning. Her words drew me back to myself. Having a glance at

her egg, which was miserable too, lying on the messy ground with its broken shell, I felt a bit sorry for her over-confidence. The same to mine! Her project was really a creative one, but she ignored my kind warning the other days! Instead of laughing at her, I began to help to find why. We begged Mr. Beal for another chance, where back came the perfect combination as well as the treasured friendship. (85 words)参考范文

续写(满分25分)

“Oh, no!” 1 heard someone say and raced down. \"My egg broken?” I wondered all the way. Cassie followed me closely. I got to the bottom first. Coming into sight were egg shells and all the protective containers from previous failed drops. I searched and finally spotted my container. It seemed to be in one piece! Excited, I rushed over and picked it up. \"Oops!” Yolk and egg white mixed with marshmallow cream were leaking out. A failure! \"That looks like egg drop soup.** I heard Cassie make jokes about me. \"She win?” I dropped my container and looked into hers. No egg in it!

\"My egg bounced out,\" Cassie sighed, frowning. Not far away, on the grass, lay the broken shell of her egg. HI guess the pilot had an egg-ejector seat/* I joked. Cassie looked at me, her face softening. Then she shrugged her shoulders and grinned. I giggled. \"Egg-ejector seat, egg drop soup.** I laughed to tears. \"Sorry! We should have combined,M said Cassie. \"A tie/* Mr. Beal announced, shaking his head. But Cassie and I knew we'd won something more important than the Egg Drop Challenge. Maybe some friendships aren't like eggs after all. They can survive a little bouncing.
